Pont3 worked with one of Australia’s fastest growing magazines, Men’s Health Magazine, to develop and implement a national sponsorship strategy that would engage their readers and core target audience in a series of sponsored events that reflect their core brand values.

The strategy included the individual sponsorship of key ocean swim events with the view of creating a series that linked them all together to the benefit of the surf clubs and entrants.

In Year 1 the swims included;

  • North Bondi Swim
  • Noosa Blue Ocean Swim.

The strategy will be rolled out further in the 2008 – 2009 season to include other major swims.

For Men’s Health Magazine the sponsorships provided a range of benefits, including;

  • Branding
    • On popular and busy beaches – signage, marquees and sample stands
    • Within event collateral
  • Sampling
    • To entrants
    • To spectators and other beach goers
  • Editorial content
  • Reader engagement.
