It was a huge operation with a 10-month tour that visited over 187 towns and cities that would host a Torch Relay ‘celebration’ the following year.
It involved the creation of a fully mobile exhibition housed in two custom built semi-trailers with an inflatable roof creating a fully enclosed space to showcase a collection of original Olympic Torches, Olympic ticketing information, AMP history and other more fun activities for kids and school groups.
Each night local AMP Financial Planners were able to entertain clients and local government officials with VIP Cocktail functions and Financial Planning seminars in an adjacent structure.
The Ignite the Dream Tour won the National Sponsorship Award in 2000 as well as awards at the national PR Institute annual ceremony.
